Just because I’m having a crap-tacular day doesn’t mean I can’t spread the love to everyone else with a super sweet interview with Misti Dawn! And speaking of super sweet, Misti Dawn is a serious southern sweetheart to the extreme. So, with no more gilding of the metaphorical lillies, here we go!
SaintStephen -So, Miss Misti Dawn, what’re you vitals?
Misti Dawn - [I'm] 23, from Kentucky (although moving to California at the end of summer), 5′2″, 118 lbs., red hair, blue eyes. Everything else I could put is obvious.
SS - Do you have any cool nicknames?
MD - Just sweet ol’ southern nick names like ‘hun’ and ‘babe.’
SS - How would you define yourself?
MD - That’s impossible, I think. I suppose just a video game & scary movie loving nerd that likes to bang?
SS - As far as B-Movies go, you ever think about remaking a Bruce Campbell movie into a porn? Some of them are screaming “turn me dirty!” Alien Apocolypse, for instance… cheesy already, but saddly lacking boobies.
MD - They’re making ‘Evil Head,’ actually!
SS - Any hobbies or interests?
MD - Animals are my biggest interests, anything I can do to help them. I really like Xbox 360 and just doing new things, of course when I’m not studying hard in school.
SS - What’re you studying and your favorite subject?
MD - Even though I’m a biology major, I’m going to have to go with history being my favorite subject.
SS - How’d you get into the adult entertainment industry? Who’s the best person you’ve worked with and who do you want to work with in the future?
MD - I started soft-core modeling for SG when I was 18 then later left and started a personal site, www.misti-dawn.com, and joined up with Joanna and BurningAngel about two years ago. I absolutely love BurningAngel and every one involved, they are not only-co workers but best friends.
My favorite person I’ve worked with so far… everyone! But one that really sticks out is Sean Michaels; he is amazingly nice and great at what he does. I’m really hoping to work with Belladonna in the future.
SS - Joanna seems like she’s an awesome person to hang out with.
MD - She is the best to hang out anytime for anything!
SS - In general, what’re your views on the ‘adult entertainment industry’?
MD - Like every industry, there are positives and negatives. You can pick which you want to surround yourself in. Mine has been nothing but positive, I’ve made great new friends and enjoy what I’m doing, what more could I ask for?
SS - How do you family and friends react to your line of work?
MD - All of my friends and family know and our supportive. I’m very lucky. Especially coming from a small Mormon family in Kentucky, right?
SS - I know a lot of the time models tend to cater to the fantasies and fetishes of others, but, what are yours?
MD - My favorite thing about porn is that I’m getting to act out all of the things I’ve always wanted to but never had the change in my personal life. Joanna is amazing with setting up shoots with people that I’ve wanted to work with and match our likes together.
SS - Any funny stories?
MD - I won’t mention his name, but I started getting dirty emails from a celebrity on a show I absolutely love and obsess about. Even though they were just dirty emails, I was like, “if nothing else I got dirty emails from (blank) and that’s pretty sweet.”
SS - Anything you’re looking forward to?
MD - I’m really excited about Belladonna booking me this summer; she’s so pretty I just want to kiss her face all over. And of course I’m excited about moving to California!
SS - How would you take over the world and what would you do with it after wards?
MD - With kindness. More flies come to honey right. Then I would just try to clean it up and keep everyone happy. Isn’t that what anyone would do? Oh, and everyone gets ice cream!
SS - What superpower would you like to have?
MD - Not really a super power, but to actually be Mary Jane Watson… is that possible?
SS - I’d like to see you do a Mary Jane set, it’d be sweet.
MD - I’d love to!
SS - Here’s an important one: Ninja versus Pirate… who’d win?
MD - Neither. Spiderman will beat them all up.
SS - Any parting words of wisdom?
MD - [in sweet Kentucky accent] Y’all be nice!
