Saint Stephen: So, Leila, this is the part where you supply a little biography for yourself: age, location, ect…
Leila Hazlett: I’m a 23 year old recent biology grad living in the lovely queer friendly state of MA. I’m actually living in a ghetto right now which sucks, the first night I moved in someone was shot in fount of my building. It’s a big change from the “stepford wives” area of CT that I grew up in. But despite living in the ghetto I’m kinda a hippie. I’m a Buddhist, a reiki healer and I make my own teas and lotions. I’ve been working as a model since I was 18 and have been doing other random work over the years as well including helping to run a website and working as a bicycle mechanic. Right now my career path is a bit up in the air but I might end up going back to school to further my degree.
SS: What is the geekiest thing about you that you’re willing to tell me?
LH: The National Science Foundation gave me money to present research I was working on at a conference. It was one of the most exciting experiences in my life. It was also the first time I had to travel across the country so my boyfriend gave me an Optimus Prime action figure to sit on my nightstand and watch over me while I slept. 
SS: What is your definition of altporn, and how well do you fit into it?
LH: Personally I see the term “altporn” mostly as a marketing device. I don’t mean that in a bad way per se, it’s just easiest to group things together that look alike and promote them as the same thing. To me the spirit of altporn is porn/erotica that has some artistic intent behind it that is being made by people involved in some type of subculture and not by some corporation. I think by default I fit onto altporn because of my tattoos but honestly, I consider myself more of a fetish model since I try to bring something kinky into almost any shoot I do. I do consider myself and alt model, just a more perverted one than most.

SS: This one is going to end up being a trademark question, but, Ninja versus Pirate… who’s your money on?
LH: Neither. Vikings come in and rape and pillage the shit out of everything.
SS: Any stories, funny/embarrassing/ect, you can tell?
LH: I’ve done a lot of crazy shit for photo shoots. I’ve broken into abandoned buildings, had people threaten to call the cops on me, I’ve been fully submerged in mud, and I’ve even temporarily lost the use of my hand. That one was on a bondage shoot, it was the first time I was doing a suspension on video and didn’t realize the rope on my arm was too tight. I noticed my hand was numb so I asked to be let down and then realized I couldn’t move my hand at all. It scared the shit out of me but in a few days I was able to move my hand again.
SS: How would you take over the world and what would you do with it afterwards?
LH: I assume it could be done with a microwave and non-dairy creamer… I’m still working out the details. But once I rule the world I will have a harem of sexy ladies to do things for me. I’m just in it for the titties!
